Adidas History -

We offer the full Adidas range of Table Tennis Tables, Bats and Balls. Here’s a little background information on the Adidas Brand itself.

The Adidas brand has been established since 1949 when a German man named Adolf Dassler decided to fulfil his dream and create a brand that would produce Sportswear. Adidas first made their name in the 50’s when Germany wore Adidas boots in a battle against Hungary. Adidas then furthered their brand in the 60’s when they began manufacturing equipment for what many people thought of as “fringe sports”.

By 1974 Germany had won the World Cup and was known as the “Adidas Team”, rocketing Adidas into the Sportswear scene forever. With this history has come the knowledge and understanding that enables them to create the sports equipment that they produce today. Adidas products are still made in Germany (unlike many similar sport brands) and they have continued to produce excellent quality goods while advancing with technology.

The Adidas Table Tennis range is a great display of this new technology and help to improve level of play, as well as comfortable playing. The most basic of the Adidas Bats has a soft cap end to the handle which reduces the amount of friction and allows a better transfer of the feeling from the blade to hand. With other innovative bats in between, the highest standard of bat that Adidas produce has been designed with a carbon tube inside the handle. This carbon tube reduces the weight of the bat and actually absorbs vibrations, offering more power and perfect control.

The Adidas Balls are also very good, in particular the ball with the three signature Adidas stripes running around it. These stripes help you see the spin on the ball, which is incredibly helpful to beginners and less experienced players.

The Adidas Table Tennis Tables have been expertly crafted and even the most basic table features a playback facility and tilt resistant transport carriage due to its deep barycentre and low transport height.
